Literary Inspiration
“When he is drunk asleep, or in his rage,
Or in the incestuous pleasure of his bed;
At gaming, swearing, or about some act
That has no relish of salvation in’t;
Then trip him, that his heels may kick at heaven,
And that his soul may be as damn’d and black
As Hell, whereto it goes.”
Hamlet wanted to send straight to Hell
His vile uncle – and, under the spell
Of that limitless play,
I am hoping someday
To push you down the same fiery well.
–Tom Riley
That makes me uncomfortable. Stop that. Will you please post something lovely next?
My life experience and status as sufferer from malign hypercognition disorder have combined to make me a bitter and malicious character. But it’s all good! God likes this sort of stuff. Haven’t you read Dante?
The next post is, alas, even nastier than this one! Do I ever do loveliness?
