Why She Does It

She does it for her little baby brother.
He gets a job that he could never do.
In public, they adore and praise each other.
In private, she can’t help but think: Screw you!
As parasite, he itches to renew
his source of blood, his source of yearly cash.
He daily proves he doesn’t have a clue.
He burns the enterprise right down to ash.
She speeds to aid him, though, in every clash.
He needs her — and she truly needs his need.
Kindness, she tells herself, is far from rash.
Bloodsucking boneheads also have to feed.
Her life’s the milieu that he prospers best in.
He puts his feet up in her small intestine.
