You’re a Talker

Dear Sir: If you would only cease to speak,
Then all my eloquence would tumble out
In ways that listeners would find unique.
My voice would whisper, but my genius shout
Within that whisper. No one then would doubt
That I transcended standards of the past
And wasn’t just an ordinary lout:
Ungifted, uninspired, and candy-assed.
My brilliant sentences would sing and last
Forever in the realm where titans thrive.
My reputation would be bright and vast
As any star that nature can contrive.
All this would live if you would shut your trap.
Instead, we get more servings of your crap.
